Jose Hernandez is very well known among collectors of fine Oaxaca wood carvings. He began carving in the 1970's and likes to create a wide variety of animals..

Jose is married to the late Manuel Jimenez's daughter and has been featured in many publications such as the Smithsonian Magazine.
