Angelico Jimenez     

This magnificent nahual-rabbit figure in the purest style of Don Manuel Jimenez and family, was created by his son Angelico Jimenez

The Jimenez's work is featured in many art books, magazines and is included in Museums and private collections world wide.

This nagual is signed by Angelico & Isaias Jimenez.

A very similar Nahual by Angelico and Isaias is being exhibited at the University of  Iowa Museum of Art.

Nahual: In the ancient Mesoamerican cultures a nahual or nagual was a  guardian spirit.
Also an alter-ego into which a priest or shaman could transform himself.
It was believed that each person had his own nahual.
